Flavour notes: Dark Chocolate and Maple syrup sweetness
Coffee is the highest foreign exchange earner for Papua New Guinea, the majority of which is grown in the Eastern Highland Province, the Western Highland Province, and Simbu. With the industry not derived on a colonial plantation-based system, production is largely by small farmers with land holdings that grow as little as 20 trees per plot.
This coffee has a smooth decadent dark chocolate taste with a Medium body and a gentle delicate maple syrup sweetness.

Journey to the lush and remote highlands of Papua New Guinea, where the rich history of coffee cultivation unfolds. Nestled in the rugged terrains and fertile volcanic soils, Papua New Guinea's coffee plantations have been thriving for over a century.
The origins of coffee in Papua New Guinea trace back to the late 1800s when it was introduced by colonial settlers. Since then, the indigenous tribes and local farmers have embraced this crop, cultivating it with utmost care and expertise.
Papua New Guinea's unique geographic location, coupled with the diverse microclimates, imparts a distinct character to its coffees. The beans are predominantly grown on small family-owned farms where traditional methods are cherished. This includes hand-picking the ripe cherries and employing the wet-processing technique, resulting in exceptional cleanliness and clarity in the cup.
Renowned for their medium body, bright acidity, and delightful flavors ranging from tropical fruits to dark chocolate, Papua New Guinea coffees are a testament to the dedication and skill of the local farming communities.
